Neil Patrick Harris recaps the Tony Award winners through song

June 8, 2009 |  8:15 am

Did you stick around for the very end of the Tony Awards telecast last night? Or were you foiled again by your TiVo? (Did you learn nothing from "American Idol"?)

Tipped to the finale by composer Marc Shaiman ("Prop 8 -- The Musical"), the Culture Monsters were glued to their chairs as the credits rolled. Well, we also happen to be fans of Tonys host Neil Patrick Harris, so even though the Lakers were in overtime on another channel, we stuck with Harris and were treated to a musical roundup of the evening's winners, penned earlier by Shaiman and partner Scott Wittman of "Hairspray" fame.

Check out the video of Broadway vet Harris (yeah, Doogie Howser/Barney Stinson is a triple threat). We're not into singing along to show tunes, but in case it's your thing, here are the lyrics.

Neil Harris needs to return to his hometown of Albuquerque, NM and do some public service job.

He is nothing more, or less, than a spoiled rich kid
