When Pau met Placido ...

We at Culture Monster have been known to tear ourselves away from the arts world to catch a sporting event every now and then. Of course, we're not alone. One of our city's best-loved culture monsters is a fan of the Lakers' Pau Gasol. Leave it to his fellow Spaniard Plácido Domingo to get Gasol to see his first opera. And if the Lakers' power forward/center returns to the opera, let's hope he isn't sitting in front of us.
