Culture Monster’s gripes happily haven’t gone unheard.

After vociferously complaining that no L.A. theater had signed up for the worldwide broadcast of the National Theatre of London’s production of ‘Phèdre,’ directed by Nicholas Hytner and starring Helen Mirren, an L.A. venue for NT Live has been announced: Mann Chinese 6 Theatre, Hollywood, which will be screening the performance on June 25.

What’s that you say? “The movie biz swoops in where local artistic directors fear to tread.” Yes, I know, but let’s look at the bright side: At least now we’ll get to enjoy the show with a full concession stand. (But please, everyone: Let’s unwrap our candy before the opening credits start rolling.)
