Actor Stacy Keach is hospitalized

Stacy_keach2_2Actor Stacy Keach, left, was hospitalized this morning in Los Angeles for an undisclosed ailment and was in stable condition, his spokeseman Dick Guttman said. Further details were not available.

Keach, 67, has been playng Richard Nixon at the Ahmanson Theatre in a touring production of "Frost/Nixon," Peter Morgan's play about the 1977 interview encounters between David Frost and the former president.  Ahmanson spokesman Ken Werther said the theater learned at about 3 p.m. that Keach was in the hospital and would not be able to perform this evening.

An understudy, Bob Ari, was ready to go on in his place. Werther said that ticketholders can see the show or opt for a refund or an exchange of dates.

That's too bad, hopefully it isn't too serious, we have him coming up to Sacramento next month and looking forward to his performance.

I am a good friend of Bob Ari...he was Frank Langellas understudy in New York as well and is going to give you a really great show...I'd catch the wave now
