Friday night may have been one of the most starry the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City has seen in some time.

Let’s begin with the evening’s performer, Kirk Douglas. The legendary star of more than 87 films, including ‘Spartacus,’ ‘The Bad and the Beautiful’ and ‘Lust for Life,’ appeared in the premiere of ‘Before I Forget,’ the one-man show he wrote.

The 92-year-old actor is planning only four performances of his one-man show in which he looks back at his storied life and career. Naturally, the event is sold out. But those lucky enough to be there on opening night were able to catch a glimpse of some of Hollywood’s biggest names, past and present.

Among those on the list were Michael Douglas and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, left, director Oliver Stone, writer Larry Gelbart, Universal Studios chieftain Ron Meyer, actress Constance Towers and actor John Gavin (Caesar in ‘Spartacus’), actress Nancy Olson Livingston, actress Neile Adams (former wife of Steve McQueen) and more.
