December 1, 2008 | 11:03 am

Kurimanzutto The opening of the Kurimanzutto contemporary art gallery drew a young, hip crowd to the San Miguel de Chapultepec neighborhood of Mexico City over the weekend.

Kurimanzutto boasts a collection of some of Mexico’s biggest up-and-coming contemporary artists, including Damián Ortega, Daniel Guzmán and Gabriel Orozco.

“This is the most important contemporary art gallery in Mexico,” Mariano Rocha, a 26-year-old fashion magazine editor, said of the venue, which can be found just a stone’s throw from Mexico City’s central park, Bosque de Chapultepec.
