Faces to watch in 2009

December 28, 2008 |  9:00 am

Nero

What do an Austrian artist partial to papier-mâché, an actor playing the Roman emperor Nero as a spectacle-addled despot and a ballet dancer who's racked up hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube have in common?

According to The Times' Arts & Music section, they're faces to watch in 2009.

Theater critic Charles McNulty, art critic Christopher Knight, music critic Mark Swed, architecture critic Christopher Hawthorne and dance writers Victoria Looseleaf and Susan Reiter all weigh in on individuals worth paying attention to in the year ahead.

Did they leave someone out? You can always comment.
