Trustee shuffle at LACMA
At the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's latest board meeting, Dona Kendall, a longtime patron, became a life trustee and three new members --Brigitte Bren, Eva Chow and Suzanne Kayne -- joined the group.
Bren, the wife of LACMA trustee Donald L. Bren, is an attorney and business consultant who specializes in international affairs and entertainment law. Chow is a prominent fashion designer and a partner in Mr. Chow restaurants with her husband, Michael Chow. Kayne is a realtor and philanthropist whose Kayne Foundation supports the arts, youth programs, environmental causes, health organizations and Jewish agencies.

According to Fundrace and other campaign donation sites, ALL three of these women are Republicans and/or big McCain supporters.
While I appreciate the money and donations Republicans have at their disposal or can bring to the table, another part of me would rather see LACMA take a stand against these fascists.
This is truly bad news. Are there no wealthy Democrat philanthropists that LACMA could involve? Or do they have an agenda to fully control the museum? It can't possible be good for the future of their contemporary art exhibitions to have Republicans in charge. I'll expect no edgy, controversial art, but a whole lot more crap like Vanity Fair photographs, the Cheech Marin Collection, or King Tut. Michael Govan you should be ashamed of yourself.

Dear "TheTruth"
LACMA is a public institution. Why would they even consider excluding a certain demographic based on politics? They are about art and sharing it across cultures, ages, and backgrounds.
You just need to take a pill and chill. And stop commenting on things on which you know nothing.
