Hillary Clinton among Obama's Cabinet picks

12:29 PM, December 1, 2008

President-elect Barack Obama stands with U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton and retired Marine General James L. Jones

President-elect Barack Obama formally announced today that he will nominate Sen. Hillary Clinton for the position of Secretary of State.  From the Times' story:

Obama also announced his intention to keep current Defense Secretary Robert Gates in his post, likely for at least a year in the new administration. The president-elect also said he would nominate Susan Rice as ambassador to the United Nations, retired Marine Gen. James Jones as his national security adviser, Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano as homeland security director and Eric Holder as attorney general.

As Obama's Cabinet takes shape, share your thoughts on his picks for key roles in his new administration.

It is a wonderful thing to have a nominee as credentialed as Hillary Clinton, but we SO need her in New York as Senator. I fear the party will suffer her leaving her post. If we loose New York next election, we can kiss a second term good-bye. Now, what is most important to her? The fluff of a cabinet position or the strength of a Senatorship? I fear the worst.

New York State's and the Senate's loss is the world's gain. Hillary Clinton is the best news for American stature in world politics since Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. She has the tough it's going to take to get world leaders to the table on international agreements. She has the depth of knowledge and experience to be able to sift and advise on legislation. She has core values about women, children, community and family that will resonate through US foreign policy under President Obama. Hillary Clinton also knows what it takes to work through big national objectives at the cabinet level of the Executive office. We're in good hands - finally!

KEEP YPUR FRIENDS CLOSE AND KEEP YOUR ENEMIES CLOSER!!!!

I guess Obama did not really think very much before picking his cabinet members. He should have check there background, like if they pay there taxes or not. But on the other hand, what is B.Hussein`s background? where was he born? what does he plan to change. my guest is he wants to take away our rights, 1st & 2th amendment siti di roulette , what else does he have in mine to take away from us. Is he going to protect us, from terror, our boarder. will the price of gas go ski high, we know very little about him. but we can watch fox news , and lesson to R ush Limbuagh, Sean Hannity, Glen beck , Bill orealy .ect. let`s just hope obama does not want to take away freedom of speach. I don`t trust him, (obama) do u trust obama? someone not even born in America to run our country?
