Top of the Ticket: Some Hillary Clinton supporters may vote for John McCain

Hillary Clinton supporters, or at least the determined ones who would rather betray their party of choice and vote for John McCain instead of "NObama," have been leaving quite a few comments on Top of the Ticket today.

On Don Frederick's post, "Hillary Clinton and the roll call,Harry the Cat wrote: "For BHO to dis Hillary like he has, I've had it. I'll have to decide between now and November if I'm going to vote for McCain or just stay home, but I'll never vote for BHO."  Apparently, being a cat has marred Harry's powers of perception, for he has failed to notice that politicians in general have a tendency to "dis" each other.

BJ wrote about "something": "There is something brewing about papers that have been released regarding Ayers and the Obama connection. I saw something about it on Fox News. The DNC better wait this out before they proclaim Obama their king only to be de-throned.I would not be surprised if Obama manages to suppress Clinton supporters in the role call. He is cunning and manipulative!"

whadsupwitthis refuses to just unsubscribe to Hillary Clinton's email list: "Why didn't Obama help her retire her debt in exchange for whatever convention he wanted? I'm angry that Hillary has to continue to send me fund raising e-mails every other day. He's being a jerk."

Meanwhile, Andrew Malcolm's post, "The Clinton-Obama turmoil continues in Denver,"  has received 80 comments so far, a few of which were left by highly suspicious Hillary Clinton devotees.

Rob, for example, wrote: "The liberal agenda pales when it is handed to a candidate that might sell the country down the road. I would vote for Larry the Cable Guy before I would vote for Obama. At least I feel confident that Larry is an American."

joe wrote: "Obama is not legally qualified to run for president. Why is everyone ignoring this fact?Reporters,do your job!Bring the proof to the public before it is too late."  But joe himself was short on proof, never specifying what these "legal qualifications" actually were.

pat wrote: "Mrs. Obama didn't show me anythng last night,, she didn't inspire anyone with a speech that was written for her."

Ronna struck the lowest blow: "If anyone should be angry, it should be the Hillary supporters. Quite frankly, I am one, and now I am a newly registered Repuke after being a lifeling Democrap. NObama and his group can kiss my AZZ! He doesn't deserve to be President, and his loyalty toward anyone sucks! There are way to many questions regarding his leadership, and this notion of change is crap. Picking a 35 resident of the Senate for VP, and having the Kennedy's, especially brain dead Teddy push for Obama."

So, it seems that Hillary Clinton supporters shouldn't support Obama for the following reasons; He might sell America, he has the support of someone with a brain tumor, he doesn't have the support of Fox news, his wife fails to write her own speeches, he won't stop Hillary Clinton from sending out emails, he has dissed politicians whom he was running against, and Ronna thinks his loyalty sucks.

Care to challenge any of these arguments?

Silly woman... these are not all Clinton supporters making these comments - do some surfing of comments on other sites and you'll find Republicans bragging about how they are riling up the Dems by posing as Hillary supporters endorsing McCain.

On the internet, no one knows you're a dog.

I cannot believe any of these Hillary/McCain people are really Democrats; I'm starting to think this looks like an underhanded campaign of Republicans a la Rush Limbaugh in thinly veiled disguise.

All those comments that Obama isn't experienced, not qualified, worse than Carter...can be boiled down into one statement:
Obama is black.
Oh, I know it's not politically correct.
But let's be honest. Many working class white americans and southerners will come right out and tell you "He's not one of us" (translation:" he isn't white)
We'd be saying the same thing if Obama's name were Sanchez or Wong .
We've had a long history of white presidents.
Now is not the time to make an untested change.
So I'll speak for the millions of Americans who wouldn't dare utter those words: " I wouldn't vote for Obama because he's black" (and I'm not even sure he's Christian)

White liberal Hillary Supporters are crossing the aisle to vote for a man who believes just the opposite of their candidate. Why. Because if they can't have a white woman in office...they next best choice is a white man...even one who is conservative.

60 years ago blacks tried to force their way into our schools. Now they want in on the biggest prize of all.

Forget it. Never will happen. God bless Hillary crossovers.

...............? other than the last comment on the list, the rest can easily be written by McCain supporters.... why is the author trying to separate the democratic party? This creates more negative rumors, and obviously, he wants McCain to win... why else would he write an article like this. Thank goodness I dont live in LA, I would be ashamed of my local newspaper.

As a Democrat and a Hillary supporter I am planning to stay home on election day. My goal is to send a message to the Democratic party that I as a woman will not stand for the treatment of women that occurred in the Democratic primaries; and that my future support depends on equal representation for women.

I was outraged by the blatant, nasty sexism in the campaign. I was profoundly disappointed that Obama, the party and the media have all denied that sexism was a factor in the primaries - have completely denied an issue that is vitally important to women in the party. I was disgusted that Obama did not choose a woman to be his VP, or even to seriously consider the woman who got nearly half the vote. I continue to be appalled at the unequal treatment of Hillary as the losing candidate: no man has ever been expected to grovel to the winner so thoroughly.

Women represent 51% of the population and less than 10% of the power elite. I want the backroom boys to feel that they can't win an election without a woman on the ticket. I want them to start to get serious about moving to equal representation in congress, the cabinet, the judiciary, senior government posts, corporate directorships and senior management. I want them to see women as a demographic they have to take seriously.

I don’t dislike Obama or Biden; I just refuse to sit by and accept that the first serious female candidate could be driven out of the race by being demonized and ridiculed for being female. Some of the most widely watched and influential media personalities said they were afraid she’d castrate them. Her biggest failing, we were told, was that she had a sense of entitlement – and people accepted that as a fair criticism. She was criticized for her laugh, ankles, age. She was called shrill, a hypocrite, too mannish, too womanish. The media was more interested in the husband than the candidate. It was blatantly obvious that a woman would not be taken seriously.

Women have always been mammothly under-represented in the power elite, and in this primary season women were sent a great big message that we are not welcome there. They'll remember us if we throw the election. It's short term pain for long term gain.

My boycott is not in support of Hillary. If Hillary’s supporters turn their backs on Obama it could rebound very negatively on Hillary: no matter what she does, she will probably be blamed for it and it might even doom her political future. But this is not about her. This is about drawing a line in the sand and saying I will not take this anymore.

Lets start a write in campain for Hilary. When you go to vote in November write in her name. Do not vote for Obama, he was not our choice, how did he get where he is now? Media? Who is he in bed with? Do you want him to be the most powerful man in world? he is the Anit-Christ. If Hilary does not win with the write in votes, McCain is bettet then Obama, don't you agree???

Hillary supporters will not vote for the failed policies of the Republican party represented by McCain. However, they just feel dejected and ignored by the Obama Campaign Committee headed by Axelrod, the Daley machinery of Chicago politics and the Kennedy's. Despite the campaign here of all Democrats and autocrats, California went for Clinton. At election day, they will choose for the lesser evil that will be Obama. Obama is a bummer for not choosing Hillary as his VP, nothing wrong w/ Joe Biden but Obama has to be pragmatic politicians who knows how to count electoral votes. Why ignore the lady who was voted by 18 million democrats and independents, those are the reasons why Hillary supporters are pissed off. Our youth who loved Obama are bunch of political novice, they think it can be won w/o their old folks supporting Obama.

I am a Hillary supporter from the Great state of NY. I supported her because I believe her to be a great leader. How can I vote for someone who called the Clinton team racist even after directly benefiting from their work on advancing minority policies through the years? How can I justify voting for someone who's own VP pick doesn't think he can make the grade?

“The White House isn’t the place to learn how to deal with international crisis, the balance of power, war and peace, and the economic future of the next generation,” -- Joe Biden (2008).

How?

As soon as the speech was over I was on the phone, my entire family are extreme liberals so I decided to call around and see where everyone stood.

Out of 32 Democrates polled in my family.

18 still very strongly supporting John Mccain.
6 convinced by Hillary's speech to now vote John Mccain.
Our three youngest female voters insist they will write in Hillary.
Our two oldest voters say they won't be voting for the first time in 50 years
3 very angry active military, that say part of their oath was to protect this country against all enemies.. especially DOMESTIC!

As for me I am totally convinced there is a plot inside the leadership of the democratic party to totally and completely sabotage an election that should have been a cakewalk to the white house for the RIGHT democatic canidate.

Obama is exactly what America need right now

The true Democrats commonly labelled by traditional Neo-cons as Liberals will NEVER vote for any tinge of Bush-Cheney = McCain. You heard no way, no how and I will add further, no more dam*-dam*. If ever, Hillary supporters will not go to the polls in California since Obama will win this state anyway, as a protest vote on how they were treated by Obama Campaign machinery from the Kennedys, Ophrah and that ax-man, Axelrod. They were unfair, unkind to Hillary as a woman candidate. We are all democrats and what they said in spring & summer are now translated in the fall. They advocated change, dissed out Washington insiders and yet Obama himself is a senator and a member of Daley machinery who railroaded his candidacy in Chicago Assembly. He chose an old Washingtonian as his VP and it will be the Clinton who will save his candidacy. The elder democrats are more for Hillary so with the immigrants and hispanics because they know what the Clinton years. The younger democrats, the ambitious techonology driven but political novice were for Obama. Now that we are in Fall, you need the elders who were mocked last Spring, you can't do it alone because mean Republicans could tear down greenhorns into pieces. Remember this advice: the blacks and the youth cannot win the Presidency without the help of the traditional Democrats. So to mend things, you have to apologize to Hillary supporters and be nice Democrats and not act like Republicans.

You know, as a lifelong Democrat, I have never felt so betrayed by my own party! I could have dealt with losing to Obama, if I felt the primary race was FAIR. It was clear that the DNC manipulated the media as well as encouraged top-level democrats to support Obama. And I totally agree sexism played a significant role.

After losing the last 2 presidential races to the Republicans because of manipulated votes, honestly, I've had it. And I NEVER expected the DNC to resort to the same kinds of tactics as the Republicans. I remember when Hillary was first running for the Senate here in New York -- All the Hillary lawn signs mysteriously disappeared throughout upstate New York. Republicans! They are theiving and manipulative!

Although the DNC sunk to their level, I will not vote for McCain. I call upon Hilary supporters to hold the people accountable who deserve to be held accountable - the Democratic Party! The leadership of the party were the ones who thought they could hand-pick our candidate without our say! The Party is what needs reforming, and as tempting as it is to try to teach them a lesson by voting for McCain, I cannot bring myself to do it.

Four years is a long time, and failed policies = suffering and death. The war in Iraq is killing our youth and innocent civilians abroad. Failed health care here in America means people are suffering and dying just because they cannot afford testing, surgeries, and basic check ups.

And if the rich keep getting richer, the middle class will soon drop out of existence. The mortgage crisis is demonstrating that - Americans are losing everything while big oil makes billions in profits. Banks are beginning to fail. The road we are on now is the same road that led to the Great Depression in the 1930's.

We do not need to do this just to prove a point. I encourage everyone who is outraged to write to the Democratic Party and DEMAND CHANGE AND ACCOUNTABILITY!!

Howard Dean, the head of the Party ironically ran on the premise of 'POWER TO THE PEOPLE'. Let's exercise that and make our voices heard! We need new leadership in the Party. They are the ones responsible for this. That's where our focus should be.

Well JohnZero, I am a Clinton supporter making a PUMA comment!

First of all, for about two weeks the Obama campaign called President Clinton a racist. Bill Clinton a RACIST?!? The one president who did NOT forget minorities once he was elected. Mr. Obama's team crossed the line when they called Bill & Hillary Clinton racist. Many black americans may conveniently choose to forget all the Clinton's did for minorities in this country, but I will not.

Second, I am not some lemming. I will not vote for someone just because he is the same color as me. If Obama had a TRACK RECORD that I could believe in, and not just a few really great ideas, then maybe he would get my vote, but he does not.

Geez people we're in the middle of a war. Who cares if I can sing Kumbaya with my neighbor in one world unity if my neighborhood is burning from the aftermath of a terror attack. As a New Yorker national security is my #1 priority because, unlike most other Americans, I GOT HIT IN MY FRONT YARD AND FOR MONTHS MY CITY LOOKED LIKE A WAR ZONE - WITH OVER 2500 OF OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY DEAD... 4 of whom I knew personally. Do you want a taste of that "good life" too? Is that what you want?

He's not ready.

CLINTON’S RESUME TO OBAMA'S DISMAY

Whitewater, Cattle Futuregate, Travelgate, Gennifer Flowersgate, Filegate, Vince Fostergate, Whitewater Billing Recordsgate, Paula Jonesgate, Federal Building Campaign Phone Callgate, Lincoln Bedroomgate, Donations from Convicted Drug and Weapons Dealersgate, Buddhist Templegate, Lippogate, Chinagate, Lewinsky Affair, Perjury and Jobs for Lewinskygate, Willeygate, Web Hubbel Prison Phone Callgate, Selling Military Technology to the Chinesegate, Wag the Doggate, Juanita Broaddrickgate, Vandalgate, Lootergate, Pardongate; and the many deaths, including suicide, murder, and mysterious gun shots to the head, all allegedly linked to Clinton.

Israel for protection, China for technological secrets and outsourced jobs, and Mexico for amnesty desperately need Neo-Lib Princess Hillary for president. Kennedy Liberals justly burnt her at the stake for treason against Christianity and the Constitution.

Google: “boycott liberalism Clinton Legacy”; “Danneymeyer deaths linked to President Clinton”; “Hsu Hillary”; “Mearsheimer Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy”; Stricherz “Why the Democrats are Blue”; “Who Would the World Elect”.

When given a choice between Clowns (Demoncrats) or Criminals (Rebubbalicans) one must always alternate between the incompetent morons each party throws up.

When you give either herd of lemmings the reins too long you and the country go over the cliff.

Vote Obama, if insane mccain gets in it's curtains for the USA forever.
3 terms of the criminals and there won't be anything left to steal.

vote mcain for change change away from obama
I wanted hillary but will vote mcain now

If you want 10 good reasons not to vote Barak HUSSEIN Obama (if the name isn't enough) just go to http://www.ericcantorforvp.com/

It appears to me that the hard left side of the Dem. party decided to push Obama in over Hillary by any means possible. I am a moderate and would have liked to see Hillary in office. As it now stands I will vote for McCain. I now see that Obama, backed by the party elitists, likely buried knowledge and documents that he is not constitutionally qualified to even be president. I looks like the news media is in the tank for his so deep that none of the broadcast leaders are running the story about the lawsuit that has been filed against him by former Dem. Penn. State Attorney General.
"Philip J. Berg, Esquire, [Berg is a former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania; former candidate for Governor and U.S. Senate in Democratic Primaries; former Chair of the Democratic Party in Montgomery County; former member of Democratic State Committee; an attorney with offices in Montgomery County, PA and an active practice in Philadelphia, PA, filed a lawsuit in Federal Court today, Berg vs. Obama, Civil Action No. 08-cv-4083, seeking a Declaratory Judgment and an Injunction that Obama does not meet the qualifications to be President of the United States"
(more at the links) We need to call the media on this! It is too important.
This appears to be nothing but outright theft of the primary elections by corrupt officials inside the DNC. We should not vote for Obama, but write in Hillary Clinton. It's time the DNC was taught a lesson and with the Dems controlling both houses of Congress we can handle a moderate Rep. for four years. Hillary 2012 or earlier if Obama is found to be unqualified!

There are plenty of idiots who support every angle of politics and comment accordingly. Just because you sussed out some of the less intelligent former-dem-cum-mcCain-supporter comments doesn't mean that anyone who doesn't tow the party line in the face of discrimination is as uninformed as these people.

My support was for Sen. H. Clinton for President, but Sen. McCaine’s choice was a refreshing surprise. She is a strong American woman who has more experience than Sen. Obama. Sen. McCaine. …GREAT PICK! You get my vote.

I understand why many women would be upset by the current outcome of this election and not want to vote. But do you think that the 1,000's of women who fought for generations to get the right to vote, and finally succeeded 88 years ago, would be proud of women passing up the right to vote now because they are angry?

And if you think voting for McCain or not voting at all to "show the democratic party" they made a mistake, you are doing women's rights a disservice and playing right into the republicans hands. What you will show by "throwing" the election is that women are easily swayed and don't take their vote seriously. DON'T PROVE THE REPUBLICANS RIGHT!!! He thinks we're dumb enough to vote for him because he put a woman on his ticket, a former beauty queen at that.

The next president will be able to turn over Roe V Wade with their likely supreme court appointments, and she has vowed to do that as well as he. Not looking out for women's rights.
