Rivals Hahn, Richardson endorse same Assembly candidate

Democratic Reps. Janice Hahn and Laura Richardson, who are competing for the same Los Angeles-area congressional seat, may not agree on much these days.  But they do like the same candidate for a seat in the state Assembly.

Reginald Jones-Sawyer, one of several Democrats running for the open 59th Assembly District seat in Los Angeles, has been endorsed by both Hahn and Richardson.

And who is Jones-Sawyer’s pick for that 44th Congressional District seat that the two House members are vying for?

“I believe he is staying out of that race,” Dave Jacobson of Jones-Sawyer’s campaign responded in an email.
