Senate Republican Leader Bob Dutton (R-Rancho Cucamonga) told reporters Thursday that he has been marginalized by Gov. Jerry Brown and yelled at by the governor’s wife, Anne Gust Brown.

Dutton said Brown preferred to negotiate with a group of five other Republicans instead of the elected caucus leadership. “Gov. Brown did not reach out to me one time,” during those talks, Dutton said. When he finally was called in to the governor’s office, Dutton said, “I was yelled at more than I was talked to. And mostly by Mrs. Brown.”

Brown spokesman Gil Duran said he was surprised to hear Dutton was upset. “Next he’ll be saying Sutter barked at him,” Duran said referring to the Browns’ dog.
