Jerry Brown appointments expected Tuesday

Gov. Jerry Brown told reporters Tuesday morning that he will begin filling out his administration and promised to name an ‘executive secretary’ by the end of the day.

Brown said he would not have a chief of staff but that the executive secretary would be the rough equivalent.

It was a title once held by Gray Davis during Brown’s first administration. Davis was later named chief of staff, and every governor since Brown has had a top aide with that title.
