Schwarzenegger alludes to special legislative sessions in closing months of governorship
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Wednesday he would consider calling lawmakers back into session to try to get a renewable-energy bill passed before he leaves office.
Technically, the legislative deadline to pass bills was the end of August. But bills can still be taken up if they receive a two-thirds vote or if Schwarzenegger calls lawmakers into a special session.
The deadline came and went without lawmakers passing a bill on renewable energy, one of Schwarzenegger's top legislative priorities of the year.
"Anything that was not accomplished, I will try to get them done before I leave office," Schwarzenegger said.
