Brown-Whitman Debate: UC and CSU fees?

A question from a college student, posed by Capital Public Radio’s Marianne Russ, to Jerry Brown was if he would roll back college student fee hikes from recent years.

He said, given the deficit, he couldn’t make such a commitment. But he said he didn’t “want to see them go up.”

Pressed further, he declined a pledge not to raise fees further, saying he would “do the best I can.”
