Sacramento’s local minor league baseball team is holding a bobblehead giveaway this Friday. But in this politically obsessed capital city, the freebie isn’t an homage to a famous ballplayer or a budding superstar.

It’s a choice between Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown.

Fans can “vote” to select either the Republican former EBay chief executive or the Democratic attorney general as they enter the stadium. The candidate whose bobblehead r runs out first wins.

The game starts at 7:05 p.m. on Friday. Lawn tickets for the bobblehead and to watch the Sacramento RiverCats, the AAA-affiliate of the Oakland A’s, start at $7.
