Barbara Boxer has a real race on her hands this fall. As if she needed any more evidence, the website RealClearPolitics.com has officially declared the California Senate race a tossup. The site puts 10 seats up for grabs, with 48 safely in the Democratic column and 42 safely in the hands of the GOP.

There are now five seats in which Democrats are seeking reelection that are considered up for grabs. Other embattled incumbents include Russ Feingold (D-Wis.), Patty Murray (D-Wash.) Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Michael Bennet (D-Colo.).

The site lists Blanche Lincoln’s seat in Arkansas as a likely GOP pick-up. The best chances for Democratic pick-ups are in Missouri, Ohio and Florida -- all states where the Republican incumbent is not seeking reelection.
