A website developed by the Fair Political Practices Commission tracks the flow of independent expenditure money in state campaigns.

The site lists ‘groups that make independent expenditures, as well as the daily and cumulative totals of independent expenditures made to support or oppose candidates, and the names of the contributors who gave$10,000 or more to each independent expenditure committee,’ according to the website.

According to the site, 22 groups have already spent more than $10,000 on campaigns this year -- a number that is sure to grow as election day approaches.

State law caps contributions to individual candidates for legislative and statewide office, but there are no limits on expenditures made to try to influence races, as long as the groups receiving the unrestricted money do not coordinate with the candidate’s campaign.

You can track these independent expenditure contributions here.
