First Take: McCain comes to town. Obama poaches Schwarzenegger official.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) took time out from his own reelection fight to stump for Carly Fiorina in Orange County.

President Obama has tapped a member of the Schwarzenegger administration to help oversee the implementation of the new healthcare law.

L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has called for nonessential city agencies to close two days a month to help the city's budget woes. 

A judge has ruled L.A. County supervisors did not break the law by spending millions in taxpayer dollars without a vote.
