Approval for Schwarzenegger, Legislature at record lows

Just when you thought the approval ratings of state lawmakers couldn’t get any lower...

A new survey by the Field Poll shows Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s approval ratings are as low as those of former Gov. Gray Davis at the time Davis was recalled in 2003. Schwarzenegger’s approval rating has fallen to 23%, down from an all-time high of 65% in late 2004. Davis’ approval rating was 22% in 2003.

The good news for the Legislature is that its approval rating is holding strong. The bad news? The number as plateaued at a paltry 13%
