Fiorina’s latest Web campaign gets panned

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina’s attempts to lure tech-savvy voters continue to attract unwelcome attention. A video featuring a flock of sheep that she unveiled today attacking GOP opponent former Rep. Tom Campbell has become a source of ridicule for bloggers. Gawker calls it “an inept volley” that was “apparently assembled by the production team from ‘Saturday Night Live.’ ” It’s deja vu for team Fiorina. Her ‘Carlyfornia’ website, launched last year, got a similar reception.

But the GOP candidate isn’t the only one experiencing tech troubles. The anti-Fiorina website launched this week by the California Democratic Party initially said she was running for governor. (They apparently got their mega-rich candidates mixed up). And when voters ran a cursor over a video of Fiorina’s statements embedded on the site, panes linking to other videos popped up, including many to Sikh prayers. The glitches were fixed by afternoon.
