Dengue Fever readies new release, 'Venus on Earth'
The lightning-quick people over at In Flight at Night have the details on "Venus on Earth," the new album (due Jan. 22) from local Cambodian psych-pop phenoms Dengue Fever. I've heard just the one song (posted below), but I do know that the band plans to announce an album-release blowout on Jan. 31 at the Echoplex.
A side note: Bassist Senon Williams will depart Radar Bros. at the end of their residency this month to concentrate on playing with Dengue Fever -- which means he will play two album-release parties in the space of a few days at the Echoplex. Radar Bros.' show celebrating the release of "Auditorium" is Jan. 28, with Everest and Brian Aubert of Silversun Pickups supporting.
