The Mormons hit one out of the park

10:51 PM PT, Aug 13 2007

I am not necessarily a fan of the Mormons, but as a baseball guy I just about did a spit take when I saw the tongue-in-cheek poster for the Los Angeles band's current stand at Mr. T's Bowl. [Sorry for the sloppy clean-up job; it's a family blog, you know.]

i've been to every one of these tuesdays at mr. t's bowl and i'm gonna keep going. mr t's is the place to be- especially on tuesdays when the mormons are there. these foo's put on a great show all the time and to top it off, the've been getting cool bands to play with them. so now i'm there every tuesday. i love mr. t's bowl. y los mormons son chingones! i recommend them if you don't, ese.

About the Blogger
Kevin Bronson
Kevin Bronson has covered emerging and indie music since 2002 in his weekly Buzz Bands column in the Calendar Weekend section of the L.A. Times. He adores caffeine, judicious use of falsetto and the 6-4-3 double play. He abhors exclamation points, modern country and any notion that New York City is the center of the cultural universe. He's older than any music blogger he knows but has been known to pogo. He'll try not to pretend.

Bronson's Buzz Bands show can be heard Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. Pacific time on the Internet radio station LittleRadio.com.
