Go to the Lakers-Celtics game — on Jordan Farmer

JordanfarmarraffleLakers point guard, UCLA alum and all-around nice guy Jordan Farmer has got a deal for you.

Enter his Jordan Farmar Foundation NBA Championship Experience Raffle. The grand prize is a pair of lower-level, center-court seats to game four of the NBA Finals (plus a bunch of ridiculously cool perks). Even if you don't get the tickets, all proceeds will benefit UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, Special Olympics, the Metropolitan YMCA and other charities serving children.

That's what I call a win-win.

Tickets are cheap too. They are only $2 each, with a minimum purchase of five. The more you buy, the cheaper they get. I'm putting my money where my mouth is and purchased 10.

What are you waiting for? The deadline is 9 a.m. (EDT) Tuesday.

I'm a UCLA alumn, class of '06. Jordan Farmar is one of my favorite recent UCLA ball players, but don't call him an alumn. He went to UCLA for two years, then left for the NBA. It was a smart move by him, and he's made millions of dollars earning his playing time. No need to give him accolades he hasn't earned. Rather than alumn, just say "Jordan Farmar, former UCLA standout, and all-around nice guy".

That's a fair point, because I think a lot of people do confuse the meaning of the term with "graduate." However, it is technically the correct usage:

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/alumni

just to let everyone know - i signed up for this farmar raffle and i have the winning tickets..........al least in my dreams. FARMAR rocks!

and the techical definition of alumni shows "having attended or graduated" , but everyone and their brother relatesor understans it to having graduated from that college/university/school. technicalities suck/usc/suc

well...the laker did good in the playoffs but in the championship they lost maybe next year.

i think that the Lakers are goin to go farther next year but maybe not because this year they had a hard time.
well...they bet the jazz becase they are good but i think after they bet the nuggies, jazz and the spurs i would be tired and i think that that is the reason they losed but you proubley are think dont you think that the celtics are tired from playing alot but the celtics just got lucky with kobe the MVP ya they got lucky.
