Reminder: petition for tradition

I was on the "Dave Dameshek Show" (710 ESPN) on Tuesday talking about the Dodgers at Wrigley, the Indy 500, burgers and, of course, the petition for tradition. In case you missed it, click here to find out about this noble cause. By signing the petition, you're showing support to return to the days when UCLA and USC wore home jerseys against each other, allowing for a rare spectacle of powder blue versus cardinal. Coaches Rick Neuheisel and Pete Carroll are on board ... are you?

No, because they originally both wore there home jerseys because both of them played at the colliseum. so obviously during that game they were both on there home field so it made sense. Now it would not make any sense. It wouild be a step backwards. Many will disagree but i would not want to see sc wearing a cardinal jersey in the rose bowl. Would you!?!?

Of course I would! Seeing the cardinal vs. blue on the field would emphasize the rivalry. Cardinal vs white and blue vs. white is lame in comparison.

With all respect I do not believe it is the color of the jerseys that the teams wear that fuels the rivalry. There is a lot more between the two schools that drives the competitive spirit.
