The Lexus Gauntlet wrapped up this weekend with the Trojans taking home the trophy for the all-sports rivalry between UCLA and USC ("all-sports" consisting of those in which they actually compete head-to-head on a varsity level).

Things were a little streaky this year, with USC jumping out to a huge lead in the winter and UCLA rapidly closing as we headed into the spring. The chart at right is roughly in chronological order for the 2007-08 school year. Some sports played an even number of times and split, while others were based on the total won/lost record.

In basketball, the men split the regular season and UCLA won in the Pac-10 Tournament. The Women of Troy swept the regular season in hoops, but UCLA broke that streak in the postseason.

USC clinched the Lexus Gauntlet on Saturday with a victory in women's rowing.

The Trojans' title continues a curious trend, with USC winning in every even year since the trophy's inception (2002) and UCLA winning in every odd year.
