Two Bruins named to 2008 Lott Trophy watch list
UCLA junior linebacker Reggie Carter and junior cornerback Alterraun Verner are among 42 players from 35 schools who have been named to the 2008 Lott Trophy watch list.
The Lott Trophy is named after ex-USC Hall of Fame safety Ronnie Lott, and is awarded to college football’s Defensive "IMPACT" Player of the Year. It is the first college football award to specifically recognize both athletic performance and a player’s personal character attributes.
It is sponsored by the Pacific Club IMPACT (Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity) Foundation and will be awarded for the fourth time Dec. 14.
