ESPN bracketeers favor North Carolina
With one day to go before the 2008 NCAA Tournament begins, what amounts to a national poll on ESPN.com shows North Carolina the favorite of fans who submitted brackets to win the national title.
As of this morning, 31.5% of all brackets submitted on ESPN.com had the Tar Heels winning. UCLA was second choice at 17.9%, followed by Kansas at 14.2% and Memphis at 11.5%. Tennessee was fifth, at 3.9%. That means all of the one-seeds in the tournament are favored to make it to San Antonio.
In fact, none of the other teams in the tournament were even close to the top seeds in terms of being favored to make the Final Four. Some 48.4% of all brackets had North Carolina making it to the final weekend, followed by UCLA (39.3%), Memphis (24.3%) and Kansas (23.1%). Only Texas (12.9%) even reached double-digits. Duke, the second-seeded team in the West, was cited for the Final Four by only 7.8% of the brackets.

with UCLA's path to the Final 4 being, by far, the easiest (as it was last year), I am surprised they weren't picked by more.
