Notre Dame game tickets on sale . . . sort of

Uclablogpixnotre_dame_mascot200 UCLA has packaged tickets to the October 6 home game against Notre Dame into mini-plans and full-season ticket programs, until now.

Between Monday, August 27 and Saturday, September 8, two tickets to the Notre Dame game will be available at $75 each with a $350 donation ($500 total cost) to the Wooden Athletic Fund.

Alternatively, you could also buy two season tickets at $250 each ($500 total) on the "Bruin" plan and see all six UCLA home games from seats in one of the corners of the field: northwest, southwest or southeast corners between about the 20 yard line and the end line of the end zone.

About 6,000 tickets in total remain for the Notre Dame game, scattered in corner and end zone locations. All remaining tickets have a face value of $75.00 each.

For more information about tickets, call (310) UCLA-WIN; calls about the Wooden Athletic Fund should be directed to (310) 206-3302. Or you can go to www.uclabruins.com.

How many tickets were allocted to Notre Dame, and are they bringing their band? Thanks...

Although UCLA sent out literature advertising a mini-game package that included Notre Dame, the only ways to get the ND tickets were by purchasing full season tickets ($250+) or the family plan package ($175 with a minimum purchase of 3 tickets). Because of ND, UCLA is holding its fans hostage for more $$ to purchase individual tickets (no mini-game or GA season tix with ND). But is there any doubt that ND fans will be the first in line to spend the $500 for 2 tix? I would assume that a UCLA fan would spend the same amount for season seats w/ ND. I don't know if it says more about the CTO or its fans. Although in UCLA's favor I have no doubt an on-campus stadium of 70,000 would sell out a couple times a year and have a huge student presence.

70,000 person on campus stadium? Not a chance in h*ll for that, you can't find parking for a basketball game let alone 70,000 people.

This new ticket policy will sell most of the tickets that are now adverstised on e-bay and stub hub.

A home game vs. Notre Dame is a once in a long time event for UCLA. If you want to see it in person then fork over the cash, otherwise it will be televised live on ABC.

Hello Brian:

It took a while to check, but we found out that as of now (8/30) the Notre Dame band is NOT coming.

We were not able to find out the ticket allocation to Notre Dame; we might be able to get more info later.
