Second death confirmed in Santa Clarita area
State fire officials have confirmed a second civilian death in the Santa Clarita area.
They gave no details on where the death occurred or which fire was responsible.
The report came from the Southern California Geographic Area Coordination Center in Riverside, which mobilizes resources for wildland firefighting.

Two bodies were discovered in Irvine area after a small brush fire was put out early this morning, but I'm guessing they aren't attributing those deaths solely to fire yet if they ever do. Still, if it does turn out that people were lighting campfires in this wind and they go,t out of control we will really need to think about how we stop that. Too many campfires have gotten out of control in high winds, and I know California has had signs up warning lighting fires for months just because of the dryness.
