Airline traffic down in first half of 2008
Not surprisingly in this year of high fuel prices, airline traffic took a dip in the first six months of this year, with U.S. airlines carrying .4% fewer passengers than in the first six months of 2007, according to the federal Bureau of Transportation Statistics.
LAX also saw domestic traffic fall by 2.6%. A few large airports have seen slight gains in the first half of 2008, including Atlanta, Denver and Orlando.
