Following Train Tragedy
What: Following an outpouring of support Saturday, Providence Health & Services will extend a blood drive through today to help replenish supplies following Friday’s train tragedy. Scores of donors came to donate blood at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, which treated 14 victims of the Metrolink collision in Chatsworth.

Background: Donors must be at least 17 years old, in good health and a minimum of 110 pounds. Just last week, Providence took deliver of a new Bloodmobile with double the capacity of its older mobile units to help improve efficiency for donors.
