NEWS UPDATE: The bill that would allow the carpool lanes on parts of the 10 and 110 freeways -- and potentially the 210 down the line -- was approved by the Assembly a few minutes ago. SB 1422 now must be re-approved by the Senate and signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
