The population through July 1, 2007, was estimated by the U.S. Census Bureau to be 107,221, a jump of 9.5% over the previous year. City officials are pleased, saying they're pursuing a growth strategy. Here's another number to remember: Victorville's average commute time for residents was 31.4 minutes in 2006 -- one of the higher numbers in the Southland.
