Today in gas prices
Finally, some movement in the price of a gallon of regular gas at the Chevron station at the corner of Hill and Colorado in Pasadena -- the $4.679 price as of 7 a.m. is down four pennies since I last checked on Tuesday.
There was also a tiny dip today in the the national average for a gallon of regular, with the price at $4.104, according to AAA, down from $4.108. The average in California is $4.54, down 1.2 cents since Wednesday.
If you're curious about why the price has risen recently at the national level but dropped in California, Tuesday's version of "Today in gas prices" attempts to explain it.
On the, uh, cultural front, Country Music Television reports that high gas prices may force some acts off the road. The story intimates that this is a bad thing.
Meanwhile, soaring fuel prices have thankfully not forced Bruce Springsteen from the road. The set list from Oslo the other night included "The Rising" and "Born in the U.S.A" back to back. Sick. In a good way.

I'm expecting a big drop in gas prices from now to the November election as the oil companies attempt to sway the election.
