Today in gas prices
The price of a gallon of regular gasoline has been the same all week at the Chevron station I've been watching at Colorado and Hill in Pasadena.
Just a hunch, but I bet that's going to change. The price of a barrel of oil reached a new record high Friday, climbing above $142.
Which reminds me: It's no longer possible to buy a monthly MTA pass at The Times building because such purchases were outsourced to a private firm. So I ordered a July pass a month ago from the firm. I still haven't seen it. Dilbert!!!!

Oil will reach $200 a barrel in no time. Our way of life is about to change drastically. We need to make changes now. Increase mass transit, create more bike lanes and give city tax incentives to businesses who hire people willing to leave their car at home and use mass transit, bicycles or walk to work.

It's time we did something about high gas prices. Copy and paste the web address below into your browser address bar and tell your government representative that you want the loopholes in oil commodities trading plugged up (ie: the Swaps Loophole and the ENRON Loophole) This is serious and needs to be addressed immediately. The link directly to the government site is
