Good morning -- and don't mess with unicyclists!
Good morning. A trio of transit-related items that have recently caught my eye. No heavy brain-lifting required:
There's renderings online of the park that folks want to build atop the Hollywood Freeway in Hollywood. Good eyes at Curbed LA: they note there's even a crazy pigeon lady in one of the drawings. The website for the proposed project, by the way, is http://www.hollywoodfreewaycentralpark.org.
Unicyclists are unhappy local transit authorities don't want unicycles to be taken aboard buses in Portland, Ore., a city that takes transit fights to new levels. From the Portland Transport blog.
On 1,603 occasions in 2007 and 476 in the first quarter of this year, planes sat on the tarmac for more than three hours -- and those are just the tarmac delays that federal officials know about. From the U.S. Department of Transportation blog.
