Possible headaches on the 710

Here's a heads-up on potential traffic tie-ups on the 710 Freeway:

Portions of the freeway will be closed for the next several days for pavement resurfacing, Caltrans reported. Today and Friday, the southbound 710 between Del Amo Boulevard and the 405 Freeway is to be closed from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m. The northbound lanes between Long Beach Boulevard and the 91 Freeway will be shut down on Saturday and Sunday from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. The work is part of a $164.5-million project to repave nine miles of the freeway, expected to be completed in 2012.
