We know about L.A.'s fascination with street name changing (remember Santa Barbara Avenue, Brooklyn Avenue and Hermon Avenue?) Now add a small piece of 17th Street to that list:

A portion of 17th Street between Bronson and Norton avenues will be renamed "Johnnie Cochran Vista" at Johnnie L. Cochran Jr. Middle School. Councilman Herb Wesson, members of the late attorney Johnnie Cochran’s family and representatives from the Los Angeles Unified School District and Department of Transportation will attend. (CNS)
