Speaking of the 405, heads up on some major overnight closures on the southbound 405 in the Westwood-Brentwood area Wednesday and Thursday. Here are the details from Caltrans.
What is the point of the message (text) sign on the southbound 405 north of Victory if they're not going to use it for things like this? I got stuck in this mess coming home from work, and I could have easily avoided it by taking 101 and/or Mulholland if the sign would have indicated the closure. Instead they put the sign after Mulholland where you have no choice but to sit on the freeway for 45 minutes to get off at Getty.
Why did they turn off that message sign?
