Budget stalemate brings delays
The state's plan to take a big cut of future transportation revenues continues to have an impact. In a letter today, MTA chief Roger Snoble told the Board of Directors he wants to postpone until September approving $455 million for dozens of small and large local projects. The idea is to wait and see where the dust settles on the budget. Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials say the proposed cut threatens several long-term projects, including Phase 2 of the Expo Line from Culver City to Santa Monica.
