MTA crash on 170

Another scary accident to report involving an MTA bus:

Six people have been injured in an accident involving a motorcycle and an MTA bus, which crashed into the center divider of the northbound Hollywood (170) Freeway at Burbank Boulevard in North Hollywood at 6:13 p.m., says d’Lisa Davies of the Los Angeles Fire Department. She says other vehicles were probably involved, and the additional injuries may have been from "exploding" concrete when the divider was struck. (AP)

It never ceases to amaze me that such horrific events DO occur in the world...but what is super frieghtening this go is...I know two of the individuals involved. I met them once a year or so ago--we had a wonderful breakfast together and to think--dare I say--that was almost the last and only time. I hope I get the chance to visit with them in the future either on this side of the country again, or maybe there with them at home. Why do bad things happen to good people??

I was in a car traveling in the carpool lane southbound. Our car was struck by debris causing significan damage. One of the items in the road was the front tire and fork of the motorcycle. My prayers go out to his family. I thought the out of control MTA bus was going to jump the center divider and kill us. It was really awful and I can't get the images out of my mind. Who was the man that was killed on the motorcycle. We are a riding family and I would love to send my sorrows.

Tuesday night, June 12th, at about 11:15 PM there was a brutal accident on the 110 Northbound. A Man's white pickup was flipped upside down, he was hanging from the seatbelt. We pulled up right after it and he didn't seem to be responding to anyone.

Did he live? Is he okay?
