MTA not happy with Arnold
The MTA says the governor's new budget has bad news for bus and rail riders:
Many others were more critical, particularly local governments, which stand to lose about $1 billion in public transit money. Roger Snoble, chief executive of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, said the agency might have to reduce its planned purchase of new buses and rail cars. "It's just going to add to the misery," said Snoble, whose agency would lose $230 million under Schwarzenegger's plan. "It's going to affect everybody who moves in Los Angeles County."

What do they expect when they come up with weird, self-serving ideas like the multi-billion dollar Westside subway? "Subway to the Sea!" That one should be called, "Subway to the D," or maybe "Subway to the F." Last time they built a subway in L.A. the process was rife with corruption. I'd hate to be down there where the contractors poured the walls too thin to save money on cement. Let's put a monorail down the middle of Wilshire. Cheap, fast AND good. The only problem is that it doesn't get a bunch of extra ca$h flowing through the coffers of MTA and their nepotistic buddies.

Roger Snoble has plans to MORE than make up for that $230 million with his OUTRAGEOUS FARE INCREASES.
Can they not find someone to run Metro who doesn't talk out of 7 sides of his mouth at the same time?!?!?!
