Widening Sunset Boulevard
A stretch of Sunset Boulevard through Brentwood is a step closer to being widened. Councilman Bill Rosendahl has thrown his support for the project, according to the Palisadian-Post, though the effort is still in its early stages:
The plan would add an extra eastbound lane between Gunston Drive and Granville Avenue (past Barrington). 'This project will help move traffic along Sunset onto the 405 Freeway and take pressure off of residential streets in the community,' wrote Rosendahl.

Population growth is key to economic growth in this country. And much of the population growth is from immigration. I doubt that many immigrants are taking the trip on Sunset to Brentwood, unless they are cleaning the houses!

Or, we could get the MTA out of their illegal conflict of interest that keeps our freeways clogged.
If you notice, those "immigrants" are not driving around with lots of empty seats. They are typically carpooling.

We know that half of the growth in the population of the US is from immigrants and their children. Obviously, that percentage is much greater in L.A. We can help solve the traffic congestion problem and the problem of our contributing to envoronmental degradation by changing our immigration policies.
