Scary billboards

Captivity Steve Lopez is not a big fan of the highly graphic billboard ads for the movie "Captivity" -- and he's not alone. It's one thing to have to drive by them all day -- but how about the kids Steve found who go to school right next to one? Others have also raised concerns about these and other graphic movie billboards. Says Steve:

I thought about ordering up a photo of the billboard for this column, but trust me, you don't want to see it. I felt like I needed to take a shower just from having been within a hundred feet of it. On the upside, it's so insultingly violent and gratuitous, maybe people will be disgusted enough to stay home.

I guess this post is about what we are exposed to while driving.

It certainly isn't more disgusting than the air that we breathe.

Did you know that the air is so bad in Los Angeles that the California Air Resources Board is already seeking a 10 year extension (2014 to 2024) on the deadline to get the air cleaned up to national standards. They are so good at their job they are seeking an extension 7 years early on the deadline.

Is this article just a distraction from what really happens in our day to day commutes?
