Mayor attacks potholes
It's Monday, and the mayor has a new traffic initiative! This one is called "Operation Smooth Ride," described as a "a traffic relief initiative aimed at smoothing and repairing the most congested and pothole-heavy streets." He unveils it this morning at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Detroit Street.

Funny thing about those potholes, some streets get immediate attention and other's languish. I have a big concern. I use Long Beach Ave (street which parallels the blue line) everyday to get home from work. Between Vernon and Washington Station (on the northbound side), the street is completely torn up at several spots, where traffic literally has to maneuver around the decaying areas of the streets. Granted, there are railroad tracks at the spots where the road is the worst. My questions, who and when is this going to get repaired?!
