Valley commuter alert
Heads up on some construction work on the often-desperate 101-405 junction: The westbound Ventura (101) Freeway will be closed between Van Nuys Boulevard and the San Diego (405) Freeway on Sunday between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m., according to Caltrans. The westbound on-ramp at Van Nuys Boulevard and the Sepulveda Boulevard off-ramp will also be closed, said Deborah Harris of Caltrans. The closures are for landscape, bridge, electrical, striping and other maintenance work.
