Lopez: Another ticket-happy officer?
Steve Lopez on Tuesday wrote about the case of a couple who received tickets both for not wearing a seatbelt and littering. It's an interesting yarn. What do you think? Was the CHP officer right? Comment below

Surely there are more important things for a CHP officer to do, such as busting the crazy who is weaving from lane to lane at 80 mph while jabbering on the cell phone.

The littering, for sure, is a genuine ticket. I don't care if it's only a little piece of cellophane. He could have stuck it is his pocket.
I'd like to hear the CHP officer's description of this stop, because I suspect there's stuff that happened that these people aren't telling us.
