Direct-to-consumer information on highchair and other recalls

Consignment The Consumer Product Safety Commission has found a goldmine of recall and warning opportunities in child-related products. The latest recall is of Graco's Harmony highchairs -- approximately 1.2 million of them to be exact.

Apparently the screws holding up the front legs can loosen -- and the chair can tip. Or the plastic bracket on the rear legs can crack -- and the chair can tip.

To read the recall notice itself -- yes, yes, complete with all the appropriate numbers -- go to the commission's website. The home page also offers CPSC's constantly updated Most Wanted list. A recent version included these products:

- Kolcraft play yards
- Simplicity bassinets
- Playskool tool benches
- Delta cribs (safety peg)
- Delta cribs (spring peg)
- MEGA brands magnetic toys
