What's diabetes like to live with? Make a movie.

September 24, 2009 |  4:29 pm
If you have diabetes and are a dab hand with a video camera, here's a contest you may want to enter.  The nonprofit Diabetes Hands Foundation has announced a "Making Sense of Diabetes" competition for a video--up to three minutes in length--that expresses what it's like to have diabetes.

The organizers are "challenging people living with diabetes to visually reveal its impact on their lives through one of the five senses: sight, hearing, taste, touch or smell."

You have to have diabetes and be 18 or older to enter; entries can be submitted between Monday, Sept. 28, and Nov. 1. Winning videos will be revealed Nov. 14, World Diabetes Day.

To read instructions and submit your entry, go to www.MakingSenseofDiabetes.org. Or watch this video.

And good luck!
